No one knows what soon-to-be famous gown Kate Middleton has chosen for her wedding, but she's apparently trying to ward off fears about showing up naked. In her dreams, of course.
Kate and Prince William have both been described as overcome by pre-wedding jitters (understandably -- they'll tie the knot in front of 1,900 guests and 2 billion viewers) and the pressure's apparently seeping into Kate's subconscious.
A source told The Sun: “Kate has the last-minute jitters and just wants the day to arrive. But her nerves have manifested in an interesting way. A recurring dream she hadn’t had for years has raised its head again. She finds herself in front of the congregation and then becomes suddenly aware she is completely naked."
For some psychological insight via Dreammoods.com: "Becoming mortified at the realization that you are naked in public, reflects your vulnerability or feelings of shamefulness. Your naked dream may be telling you that you are trying to be something that you are really not."
Kate's been scrutinized for coming from a normal background, drinking too much, wearing revealing clothes, etc. so maybe it's really all been eating away at her. She joked that the worst part of the nightmare is Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip staring her down, and Queen Elizabeth may be the most intimidating judge of character on this planet.
Catherine Elizabeth "Kate" Middleton (born 9 January 1982) is the fiancée of Prince William of Wales. Since their relationship began, Middleton has received widespread media attention and there was much speculation that they would eventually marry. On 16 November 2010, the office of the Prince of Wales at Clarence House announced their engagement. On 23 November, it was announced the wedding will take place on 29 April 2011 at Westminster Abbey, with the day declared a bank holiday in the UK.
Middleton grew up in Berkshire and, after attending Marlborough College, went to the University of St Andrews, where she met Prince William, also studying there, in 2001. They started a relationship, followed by media attention, triggering complaints by Middleton that the media were harassing her. In April 2007, the press reported that William and Middleton had split up. They continued to be friends, and later in 2007 they reunited. Since then, Middleton has attended many high-profile royal events. She has been admired for her fashion sense and has been placed on numerous "best dressed" lists.
